Since 2001 onwards, SST Academy has been a distinctive intellectual and educationally unparalleled institution and the values that played a pivotal role in its establishment have been an important guide since that time. Marking the 16th anniversary of SST Academy’s founding will provide special opportunities for reflection on these values and how their manifestations over time have shaped us and our vital work in knowledge disbursement. Perhaps the most distinctive attribute in 22 years has been its deep and unwavering commitment to provide education to our society and setting highest standards in imparting education. When SST was founded 16 years ago, it set itself apart from most comparable institutions by its commitment to the admission of persons from all backgrounds who could benefit from and contribute to the society. Our success have always depended upon the constant commitment of faculty who recognise that generating ideas that enrich understanding, enhance human life, contribute to the growth of the institution and create the best environment for quality-based education. This forms the core of SST Academy’s inheritance and its future. Incidentally, SST Academy has upgraded its quality certification to ISO 9001:2015. I am grateful for the dedication that every member has demonstrated towards SST Academy. I feel a profound sense of responsibility lies on me for being part of SST Academy’s proud legacy of ground-breaking ideas and transformational educational experiences and building on the strong foundation created by committed staff members. We have launched Bharathiar Women’s Entrepreneurship Scheme (BWES) through which we have given opportunities for women members of our society to lead a better quality life as well as imparting quality education to students. With education and knowledge at an inflection point, we must strive to equip future leaders with the competence and character to address emerging challenges driving home our motto “Driving Towards Perfection”
